The Hearts and Hands Clinic is a non-profit organization in Statesboro, Georgia established to offer basic health care needs to community members without health insurance or who cannot pay for basic health care. Many of these individuals suffer from Type II Diabetes. Due to travel and financial limitations, we created an accessible online digital training program on Type II Diabetes diagnosis, basic information on testing, and lifestyle changes needed to manage the disease. This course will be accessible to all individuals needing information on the diagnosis whether or not they can make it to the clinic. In the digital learning course, learners will be taught the basics concerning Type II Diabetes diagnosis, how to test and interpret their blood sugar levels, and nutrition and exercise recommendations that can be added to their lifestyle.
